North of Tokyo in Tochigi Prefecture lies Nikko, a beautiful and historic town. Most famous for Toshogu, Japan's most lavishly decorated shrine, the mausoleum of Tokugawa Ieyasu, and Nikko National Park, it is one of the most iconic places to visit in the North Kanto region.
