TOKYO GAME SHOW TOUR ITINERARY
Days 1-2: UK-Tokyo
Fly overnight from London Heathrow to Tokyo. (Non-UK passengers should make their
own flight arrangements). Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel
in Tokyo by private coach.
Day 3: Shinjuku /Akihabara
Today we start with an orientation of Shinjuku visiting local hotspots
including Square Enix Show Case. Then we spend the rest of the day
visiting Akihabara – Tokyo's “Electric Town” and home to
dozens of electronic goods stores. Heaven!
Day 4: Harajuku, Meiji Shrine & Sony
Building
Visit beautiful Meiji Shrine and wacky Harajuku nearby.
Move on to the Oriental Bazaar – a great place for souvenir shopping.
In the afternoon, visit Ginza and try out all the latest gadgets at the Sony
Building.
Day 5: Odaiba
Visit the futuristic district of Odaiba located in Tokyo Bay. Spend time gaming
at Sega Joypolis – the largest gaming centre in Japan. Move on to Leisure
Land – a huge entertainment complex complete with more games arcades,
bowling alleys, a “ninja illusion house” and much more. Nearby
is Toyota Megaweb - a gigantic car showroom featuring cars of the past as
well as the future.
Day 6:Tokyo at leisure/Optional Trip to Fuji-Q
Highland
Enjoy at day at leisure. Alternatively, join a fantastic optional trip to Fuji-Q
Highland, an amusement park located near Mount Fuji packed with some of the
world’s tallest, fastest and longest roller coasters!
Day 7: Tokyo Game Show 2012
Today’s the day! Visit the Tokyo Game Show 2012. Get set for the Holy
Grail of Gaming and the incredible crowds!
Day 8: Tokyo at leisure/Tokyo Game Show 2012
Spend your last full day in Tokyo at leisure. Alternatively, spend another
day at the Tokyo Game Show.
Day 9: Depart Japan
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Narita Airport (Tokyo New
International Airport) by private coach from where you will depart.

EXTENSION ITINERARY
Day 9: Tokyo-Kyoto
Check out of your Tokyo hotel with the rest of the Tokyo Game Show Group. Spend
a leisurely morning in Tokyo before boarding Japan's world famous Bullet Train
and speed to Kyoto, the traditional and cultural heart of Japan. Check into
your superbly located, spotless 3* hotel (3 nights).
We will provide you with a 7 Day Japan Rail Pass for travel over the next few days. This gives you unlimited access to the entire Japan Rail (JR) network, including Bullet Train (Shinkansen) services.
Day 10: Kyoto sightseeing
Join a seated coach tour for sightseeing in Kyoto. The tour is guided,
lunch is included, and sights include Nijo Castle, the beautiful Golden Pavilion
and Kiyomizu-dera, a lovely mountainside temple boasting stunning views over
the city.
Day 11: Nara sightseeing
Self-guided excursion to the nearby city of Nara, Japan's first permanent capital
and home to eight UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
Day 12: Kyoto-Miyajima
Check out of your hotel and board the Bullet Train bound for Hiroshima. Continue
by local train and ferry to the lovely island of Miyajima. Check into your ryokan for
1 night. A ryokan is a traditional Japanese inn where you'll sleep
on a futon on a tatami mat floor. A delicious Japanese dinner (included)
will be served to you. Enjoy the sights of this peaceful island. You can
walk round the island in the evening wearing your cotton yukata (a
robe provided in your room).
Day 13: Miyajima & Hiroshima sightseeing, return to Kyoto
After breakfast at your ryokan, head back to the mainland and
visit Hiroshima's moving Peace Memorial Park, Museum and Atomic Bomb Dome. Later
this afternoon board the Bullet Train back to Kyoto. Check into your hotel for
2 nights.
Day 14: Osaka/Kyoto
Today is yours at leisure. You may wish to take a day trip to Osaka,
Japan's lively second city or do some further sightseeing in Kyoto
Day 15: Depart Japan
Sadly it's time to say goodbye to Japan...until next time! Transfer
to Kansai International Airport (Osaka).
