Japan Rail Pass

Take advantage of Japan’s superb rail network with a Japan Rail Pass which will save you a large amount of money should you make two or more long distance journeys.

Please note that Passes cannot be purchased in Japan. You must therefore purchase your voucher for a Pass prior to departure. Upon arrival in Japan, your voucher can be exchanged for a Pass at any major railway station ticket office.

There are two types of JAPAN RAIL PASS: Green (for superior-class Green cars), and Ordinary. Each of these types is available as a 7-day, 14-day, or 21-day PASS.
